It comes after The Stand Comedy Club announced it was moving in April.

The team has signed a 25-year lease for The Lansdowne Church, currently Websters Theatre, on Great Western Road.

The Stand had been at its current spot at 333 Woodlands Road, around 100 yards away from the new venue, for a quarter of a century.

The Lansdowne is a prominent landmark in Glasgow’s West End and is situated across from the Kelvinbridge subway station.
