Date, Desire, Divorce

★★☆☆☆ Thin

In Date, Desire, Divorce, Malcolm Windsor writes four new short plays about dates, break ups and reconciliations amongst older couples. Unfortunately, the result, at theSpace on the Mile for the Fringe’s final week leaves much to be desired.

Chickens

Jay and Weronika are returning from holiday as Chickens opens. The pandemic looms like a bad dream. And they soon begin a descent into poultry-fuelled domestic madness that goes to the heart of heterosexual dynamics.

More Songs For A (Brave) New World

★★★★☆ Charming

Richard Lewis dances into the Speakeasy at the Voodoo Rooms for a full run of the Fringe with More Songs For A (Brave) New World, a new set of musical parodies sure to make you laugh, groan, and look for more.

Pantomeo and Juliet

★★★☆☆ Star-cross’d

Pig’s Ear Productions, the group responsible for last year’s Panto Macbeth are back with another heavily abridged and somewhat embroidered Shakespeare in Pantomeo and Juliet, at Riddles Court for the last week of the Fringe.

This Play Sucks!

★★★☆☆ Hilarious

This Play Sucks! is a vampiric farcical adventure, written and directed by Sean Tennant, sure to have the whole room laughing at The Space @ Venue 45 where it runs for the last week of the Fringe.

Fallen Angel by Liam Rudden

★★★☆☆ Compelling

Liam Rudden’s new play Fallen Angel, at Braw’s Grand Lodge venue for the last week of the Fringe, is a fascinating speculation on local history, with a complete performance from Liam Campbell.

Grease

★★★★☆ Slick

The EU Footlights student cast and crew hand jive their way through the 1950s-set musical Grease in an energetic and fun production at Paradise in Augustine’s for the last full week of the Fringe.

Liberace – In His Own Words
