Helen Flanagan declared love as she attended Manchester Pride 2025 on the night that Olly Alexander and Nelly Furtado are due to headline.

The former Coronation Street actress was dressed head-to-toe in silver sequins as she attended the third day of Manchester Pride 2025.

Regularly attracting over 100,000 people each year, Manchester Pride is hailed as one of the biggest LGBTQ+ events in the country outside of London.

Over the years, it has featured big name performers including Ariana Grande, Dannii Minogue, Rita Ora, Jake Shears, Cheryl and Sugababes.

This year marks 40 years since the inception of Manchester Pride began. In 1985, the first official event took place but it wasn’t known as Manchester Pride back then – and has had a number of names over the years, including Gay Week, Manchester Mardi Gras and Gayfest.

With this year’s theme recognising how love has helped queer people have the courage to be themselves, everyone who attended was bursting with reasons to celebrate.

The village buzzed with those who were surrounded by friends and family, those who lit up as they attended their first pride and everyone else in between, ready to feel part of the Greater Manchester community.

Helen played Rosie Webster in Corrie for a total of 13 years across two separate stints from 2000, before leaving for the final time in 2018.

Before attending Pride, Helen took to her Instagram stories showing off her glittery outfit.

In a video, the star admitted: “So, I went to the most beautiful wedding yesterday, it was so gorgeous. Now, I’m home and I’ve got ready for Pride.

“Missing the kids already, this is what happens to me. I’m dying for a break and then as soon as they go I start crying.”

As she described her outfit, Helen admitted: “I’m not really a suit girl, I’m definitely a dress girl… I’ve not been organised at all I’ve left everything really last minute, and I do think this outfit is really cool.”

She continued: “It’s Pride! So like, sparkles, glitters.”

The actress then posed alongside her friend Raegen as they attended the third day of the festival, and wrote a simple declaration of: “Love you”.
