When it comes to celebs’ vacation destination of choice, 2025 is the year of Mallorca!

All summer long stars have been living it up on the Spanish island, part of the Balearic archipelago located in the Mediterranean Sea off Spain’s southeastern shore.

In June, former First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters, Malia and Sasha Obama, were photographed at the Lobster Club in Puerto Portals, Calvià. The luxury beach club and restaurant is known for its panoramic terrace overlooking the sea, teak hammocks and Balinese beds, as well as their menu, which of course, features fresh lobster.

In July, Jennifer Aniston was spotted there with her new boyfriend Jim Curtis. PEOPLE obtained photos of the pair vacationing with friends Jason Bateman, his wife Amanda Anka, and comedian Amy Schumer on a yacht. 

The high seas may be the best place to spot a star. Serena Williams, Dua Lipa, and Kate Hudson and her daughter Rani, 6, were also spotted boating around Mallorca this summer.

The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is a favorite accommodation of high-profile visitors. The tranquil, five-star retreat nestled in a pine grove is protected as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts an on-property vineyard. 

The hotel originally opened in 1929 and has long attracted boldface names from Prince Rainier and Princess Grace to Richard Gere, Nina Dobrev and Shaun White, the latter of whom visited after an extensive renovation in 2024.

When Louis Vuitton took over Palma’s Bellver Castle from May 17 to June 3, a source tells PEOPLE that many of the guests at the invite-only event stayed at the accommodation.  And in August, when a group of hotel guests took a boat to Cala Figuera, a source reveals, they saw newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez. The former journalist, 55, reportedly gave the guests a friendly wave from the couple’s private yacht. 

This PEOPLE reporter had the opportunity to check out the property recently and experience the luxury accommodations — including terraced rooms with private plunge pools and sea and garden views — as well as participating in the Tracing Formentor’s Legacy tour, one of the many experiences offered by the hotel.

Other resort offerings include private beach access and daybeds, as well as restaurants Quiosc, Mel, Shima and the beachside Llum i Sal on the property for breakfast, lunch and dinner — plus artisanal ice cream parlor Crocant.

Stars seeking even greater privacy have plenty of villas available to rent on the island.

Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Bieber booked a luxury $29,000-per-week home for her Rhode launch event, which was hosted at the exclusive Gran Folies beach club in Cala Llamp in July. The model and beauty mogul explored the island and even went jet skiing during her stay.

While summer is high season, the beauty of Mallorca doesn’t end when the yachts pull away. The island is a great place to visit through October when there’s less crowding from visitors and cooler temperatures with highs in the 70s.

The other Balearic Islands also offer different vibes.

Eva Longoria has dined at the Four Seasons Madrid in Spain’s capital. The Dani Braisserie not only features Michelin-starred dishes that blend casual Spanish and international cuisine, but also gives guests some of the best rooftop views the city has to offer.

And Ibiza is the clubbing capital. After days spent at beach clubs, revelers head to night clubs like Pacha and Amnesia. Tom Brady, Sofía Vergara and Camila Cabello are among the stars that turned up there this summer.

While tiny Formentera, which hosted Earvin “Magic” Johnson and his wife Cookie on their annual summer yacht voyage around the Mediterranean, is know for its bohemian feel and rock ‘n’ roll history.
