Stacey Solomon has quit Loose Women after 13 years.
The BBC Sort Your Life Out star hasn’t been seen on the ITV show since December, when she appeared to raise awareness of a 25-hour Talkathon fundraiser for charity.
The mum-of-five was last seen joining the panel in June. Now, according to reports, she will not be making a return to the programme as she’s too “busy” and has essentially cut ties.
According to reports, an insider has revealed the Loose Women production team has made multiple attempts to book Stacey recently, but they keep getting knocked back.
It’s LSO reported that bosses have decided to focus on their fledgling talent instead now, Olivia Attwood, 34, and GK Barry, 26.
Stacey’s BAFTA nominated Sort Your Life Out, as well as BBC reality show Stacey and Joe, are said to be getting her full focus instead of Loose Women.
A source revealed to Mail Online: “The team at Loose Women did everything possible last year to have Stacey on the panel, the viewers love her and there’s always a boost to the ratings when she’s on.
“But it’s clear Stacey has quit Loose Women, she hasn’t been on the panel all year, there are no plans for her to appear, she most certainly hasn’t been booked and the show stopped reaching out months ago.
“It’s highly unlikely she will feature next year once the show goes down to airing just 30 weeks a year, there will only be a few slots available to the regular presenters.
“Stacey still has a lot of close friends on the show like panelists Kaye Adams and Linda Robson so the hope is she will reunite with the panel as a guest.
“But for now bosses have moved forward with the likes of Olivia Attwood and GK Barry, given they also appeal to a younger demographic.”
Stacey first joined Loose Women in 2011 and her last appearance on the ITV series was as a guest on December 5, 2024.
