When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle packed up and moved to the US, it seems like they may have brought along some extra baggage, which they still hold onto today, says one PR expert.

Daily Express US spoke to PR specialist Lynn Carratt, who said, “I do think there will always be some level of resentment from Harry and Meghan’s side, stemming from past events.”

The most recent event, which kicked off the conversation with Carratt, is Prince William and Princess Kate moving houses, which made us wonder if the Sussexes would be jealous of the big move.

Carrat said, “While Harry and Meghan seem happy with their life in California, I believe there has always been a degree of sibling rivalry between Harry and William, largely due to the preferential treatment William receives as heir to the throne.”

She added, “It has been previously reported that Meghan was taken aback by the stark contrast between William and Kate’s lavish Apartment 1A and the much more modest Nottingham Cottage, where she and Harry first lived.”

There’s been talk of King Charles holding onto Frogmore Cottage for Harry, if and when he decides to return to the UK, and that’s why the home has sat empty since the big move.

Carrat explained, “Even after their marriage, they moved into Frogmore Cottage—one of the smaller Royal residences — and now William and Kate are moving to Forest Lodge a significantly larger property.”

She added, “That said, it’s been reported that William and Kate are covering the renovation costs themselves and paying market rent.”

According to Carrat, if Harry and Meghan are holding onto past events, it would go beyond property, with her providing examples.
