Kate Middleton, Prince William and Meghan Markle are cheering for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s love story!

Swift and Kelce, both 35, announced their engagement with a joint post on Instagram on Aug. 26.

A close look showed that many celebrities “liked” the news, including the Prince and Princess of Wales’ joint social media page as well as the Duchess of Sussex from her personal Instagram handle, @meghan.

It’s no surprise that Prince William and Princess Kate, both 43, are followers of the pop star.

In June 2024, Prince William brought son Prince George, now 12, and daughter Princess Charlotte, now 10, to the music superstar’s Eras Tour show in London on his birthday, where William and Charlotte were spotted dancing in the stands to Swift’s performance of “Shake It Off.” (Kate and their younger son, Prince Louis, 7, didn’t appear to attend the concert.)

The heir to the throne and his eldest two kids also snapped a selfie with the singer and her Kansas City Chiefs star beau behind the scenes, in a photo that made Swift and Kelce’s relationship Instagram official. 

The tight end and his brother, Jason Kelce, later reflected on the royal encounter in an episode of their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, where the brothers agreed that Princess Charlotte was a “superstar.”

“I gotta say, Prince William was fantastic, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte. Prince George was great too. She was so f—— adorable. Like, I cannot…” Jason said on the show, as Travis agreed.

“She was a superstar,” Travis added, as Jason admitted, “I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I have three girls now,” referencing his status as a girl dad of three before he and wife Kylie Kelce welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley Anne, in March of this year.

While the Prince of Wales and his kids left an impression on the Kelce brothers, Meghan was the first to go to one of Swift’s shows.

In August 2023, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the Duchess of Sussex attended a performance at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium during the California leg of Swift’s Eras Tour then.

When the singer launched into her Fearless era and told the crowd, “Let’s go back to high school,” and Meghan jumped up out of her seat to sing along to “You Belong with Me.”

Page Six was first to report the news and said that the Duchess of Sussex, 44, attended with Meghan attended with her friend Lucy Fraser.
