On 23 August police officers attached to the Dalkeith Road Policing Unit conducted speed checks at Queen Margaret University Junction on the A1 in the 50mph area.
Two drivers were driving in excess of the speed limit and could not be offered a fixed penalty. Both have been report to the Procurator Fiscal.
In addition, also on the A1 the driver of a commercial vehicle was stopped travelling at 76mph which is limited to 60mph on A roads.
Officers are reminding the public that no part of the A1 is motorway in Scotland.
Another driver who was also stopped for speeding provided a positive breath test and drug wipe and found in possession of class A drugs.
