Thomas & Adamson makes Glasgow and Edinburgh promotions

Jordan Smith and Lynsay Turnbull

Construction and property consultancy Thomas & Adamson has promoted Jordan Smith and Lynsay Turnbull to regional directors, strengthening its senior footprint across Scotland.

Jordan, formerly a technical director in Glasgow, will now serve as regional director for the city, while Lynsay, who also held the role of technical director, has been promoted to regional director in Edinburgh.

Since joining Thomas & Adamson in November 2022, Jordan has played a pivotal role in delivering high-profile projects within the cost management team for key clients such as Bruntwood Sci Tech, Royal London, Hub Southwest, and Department for Work and Pensions.

With nearly two decades of consultancy experience, including five years in London working primarily on commercial, residential, and aviation developments, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. His focus will shift further towards operational leadership, client servicing, and strategic growth, with ambitions to expand client offerings and work closely with the Edinburgh team to further strengthen its combined service.

Lynsay, who joined Thomas & Adamson in 2014, has delivered projects across the UK for key clients including BT Property, Jaguar Land Rover, Forma Real Estate Fund, Platform and most recently, IMPACT Scotland.

Over the past decade, she has built a strong reputation for her technical expertise, client delivery, and leadership in developing teams. In her new role, Lynsay will focus on strengthening client partnerships, expanding the commercial offering in the capital, and supporting the firm’s long-term growth. She will also work closely with Jordan to deliver a joined-up service across Scotland, while continuing her commitment to mentoring the next generation of talent.

Both promotions reflect Thomas & Adamson’s commitment to nurturing talent and investing in leadership that supports its continued growth across Scotland. Following the acquisition by Egis in May 2024, the firm is now offering enhanced services and tapping into global expertise, while maintaining its strong local client relationships.

Heather Holbrook, head of cost management north, said: “Jordan and Lynsay have both demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to our clients and teams. Their promotions mark an exciting new chapter for our Scottish offices, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in their new roles.”

Jordan Smith said: “I’m proud to take on the regional director role in Glasgow and help drive growth across our Scottish offices. Thomas and Adamson’s ambition and the scale of its projects are what initially drew me here, and I’m excited to help shape the future of our services.”

Lynsay Turnbull said: “Edinburgh has always felt like a second home to me, having studied here, so I’m delighted to step into the role of regional director. This role gives me the opportunity to strengthen our client partnerships, grow the commercial department, and contribute to the city’s vibrant project landscape. I’m particularly passionate about fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that allows our teams to thrive.”
