Liverpool is set to take centre stage this September as the British Fashion Council brings its City-Wide Celebration to the city as part of London Fashion Week, presented by 1664 Blanc.

Running from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 September, the programme by the British Fashion Council will see a packed weekend of events, experiences and special offers taking place across Liverpool, including at Liverpool ONE. The celebrations are part of a national roll-out also taking place in London, Manchester and Newcastle.

The City-Wide Celebration brings together designers, retailers, cultural spaces and hospitality venues to showcase the very best of UK fashion. This season, the BFC launches ‘At Home With’, a series of talks exploring the cultural roots of some of Britain’s most celebrated designers. Liverpool’s event, already sold out, will take place at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar on Saturday 6 September. Hosted by Andrew Ibi, the discussion will feature designers Patrick McDowell, S.S. Daley and Talia Byre.

Laura Weir, Chief Executive of the BFC, said the initiative is designed to “spotlight creative excellence across the UK” and bring the fashion conversation to new audiences.

Liverpool ONE’s growing reputation as a hub for fashion will also be in the spotlight. Local labels including ARNE, Montirex and Red Run have all chosen the city centre destination to launch permanent stores in recent years.

The City-Wide Celebration runs alongside London Fashion Week in September, with more than 1,000 public events happening across the UK.
