The 2025 edition of The Hundred has hit the home stretch with the match-ups for Saturday’s Eliminator contests almost confirmed.
The men’s and women’s sides that finish first in their respective tables after the eight group games secure direct qualification to the finals at Lord’s on Sunday August 31.
The teams coming second and third will meet in the eliminator at The Kia Oval on Saturday August 30, with the winners of those matches then also making the final.
Here is the state of play as the league phase enters its final stages…
The Hundred – Men’s standings
Men’s competition
Oval Invincibles, Trent Rockets, and Northern Superchargers are certain of a top-three finish.
Invincibles have completed their eight group fixtures and lead on 24 points, while Superchargers have also played all their games and are third on 20 points.
Second-placed Rockets – also on 20 points – are the only top-three side with a fixture remaining, against Birmingham Phoenix on Wednesday, and could technically still move up or a down position.
However, the Rockets would need to win by an almost impossible margin to better Invincibles’ superb net run rate.
Slightly more realistic would be the Rockets dropping down below Superchargers if they were to suffer a defeat, but that would also have to be by a large margin.
It is therefore highly likely that the top three remain as they are, with Invincibles set to gain a place in Sunday’s final.
Finishing above the Superchargers in second would carry some value for Rockets, as it means they would advance to the final in the event of a washout.
How points are scored in The Hundred?
- Win = four points
- Tie/no result = one point
- Defeat = no points
Phoenix, Southern Brave, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, and Welsh Fire are eliminated.

The Hundred – Women’s standings
Women’s competition
The top three is set in the women’s competition, with Southern Brave having already secured their place in Sunday’s final.
The Brave have sealed top spot with a game to spare, and could make it eight wins from eight if they beat Welsh Fire in the final group fixture on Thursday.
Northern Superchargers sealed second place as they beat Manchester Originals on Tuesday, also eliminating their opponents from contention.
That means Superchargers will face third-placed London Spirit in the Eliminator at The Oval on Saturday.
Already eliminated were Invincibles, Fire, Rockets and Phoenix.

What is net run rate?
This is used to separate teams on the same number of points during a league format, in the way that goal difference does in football.
Net run rate in The Hundred is the average runs scored by a team over 100 balls in each game minus the average runs scored against them over 100 balls in each game.
