Recently acquired by ROUVY, the BKOOL virtual cycling platform is launching an online challenge that brings together some of Spain’s most iconic cycling routes. This enables amateur riders to take on the same stages as the professionals while La Vuelta is taking place.

The virtual experience, called Made in Spain: Best Routes Challenge, will run from August 23 – September 14, 2025. It is designed to bring together an international community of cyclists who can train together from home.

To participate, all that is needed is a smart cycling trainer or a smart bike and a subscription to the BKOOL indoor cycling platform. For those who have not tried the training experience, the company offers a free one-week trial on its website.

The selection of virtual stages offers an itinerary through Spain’s cycling locations, with routes in the Basque Country, Andorra, Catalonia, and the city of Madrid. Participants will also face the slopes of Angliru, which have been decisive in the Spanish Grand Tour. The company has also included a stage in the Canary Islands, in a nod to the end of the 2026 La Vuelta, a territory often chosen by professional cyclists for their pre-season training.

Diego Pantoja, Marketing Director at BKOOL, said “We have designed a virtual journey through the great stages of Spanish cycling so that any fan can ride them from home.

“We want to give our users the opportunity to ride in the same places as the professionals, sharing this experience with cyclists from all over the world.”

BKOOL will reward participation with a virtual kit. Participants can also customise their avatar by purchasing new virtual equipment such as bikes, helmets, or jerseys. Riders who complete all stages of the event will be entered into a prize draw that includes gifts such as an indoor cycling mat, training shirts, and cycling water bottles.
