Vehicles are having to turn around following the closure of Woodhall Lane, Calverley, after a crash this afternoon (Wednesday).

Emergency services were called to Woodhall Lane, Calverley, at 2.36pm today to reports of crash involving two vehicles.

Fire service personnel were called to the scene to carry an extrication to rescued to two trapped people.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two cars were involved with two people trapped.

“An extrication was carried out by fire service personnel and casualties left in hands of paramedics.

“Appliances from Bradford and Stanningley attended.”

One traffic alert has reported: “Woodhall Road southbound is closed with traffic congestion due to an accident from Hollin Park Drive to Woodhall Lane.”

One passer by at the scene reported that Woodhall Lane was closed and there were signs at the scene notifying drivers that there had been a crash.

The member of the public also reported that multiple cars had to turn around and take other routes.
