It has been a bad week for Scottish clubs in Europe and the pain could continue tonight as Aberdeen and Hibs go back into the battle.

Celtic and Rangers have both crashed out of the Champions League in the last couple of days and it’s hard to hold out much hope in the Europa League and Conference play-offs tonight.

Aberdeen stand the best chance after drawing 2-2 with FCSB at Pittodrie while Hibs need to overturn a 2-1 deficit away to Legia Warsaw. They both have tough assignments in Eastern Europe and a double on defeats pays 172/100 at BoyleSports.

FSCB vs Aberdeen top betting tips

Aberdeen did well to come from 2-0 down last week to draw but the first leg was still a missed opportunity, with FCSB playing most of the game with 10 men.

There’s no doubt the Romanian giants are in poor form, with a weekend loss to Arges Pitesti making it just two wins from their last 10 games.

But they carried a threat at Pittodrie, even after the red card, and striker Daniel Birligea was a cut above anyone on the pitch.

He scored their opener then set up the second so he could be the man who ends Aberdeen’s Europa League dream tonight.

Birligea is a best 15/8 at SkyBet for anytime scorer and that looks good value based on his first-leg exploits.

FCSB only won three corners last week but the sending-off had a lot to do with that. They should be on the front foot more at home and FCSB -2.5 in the corner handicap appeals at 7/5.

Legia Warsaw vs Hibernian

Hibs have a mountain to climb after losing to Legia Warsaw at Easter Road and their profligacy in front of goal in that game could come back to haunt them.

BoyleSports now make the Hibees 6/1 outsiders to go through but David Gray can take a bit of heart from his side’s excellent away form in Europe this season.

They drew 1-1 with Midtjylland in the Europa League qualifiers then beat Partizan Belgrade 2-0 in Serbia in the last round of Europa League qualifying.

But a red card for Partizan played a big role in that victory and a Legia win with over 1.5 goals looks decent value at 20/21 tonight.

Jean-Pierre Nsame has been in red-hot form for the Poles this season, netting six times in nine appearances. He scored from the spot in Edinburgh and is overpriced at 2/1 for a goal tonight with Paddy Power.

Fredrikstad vs Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace head to Norway for the second leg of their Conference League play-off with Fredrikstad defending just a 1-0 lead after a frustrating first leg at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles totally dominated that game but struggled to find a way past the packed Fredrikstad defence, with only Jean-Philippe Mateta managing to get on the scoresheet.

The return leg should be a bit more open as the Norwegians need a goal to get back into the tie but they might sit back again and try to hit on the break.

Palace are still 1/3 hot favourites at BoyleSports for a win on the night but you can boost their odds to 11/10 by adding on under 3.5 goals.

We saw 10 corners in the first leg as Palace toiled to break down Fredrikstad so over 9.5 flag kicks could be worth a punt tonight at the same price,
