Reemoon Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. has completed the installation of a new-generation cherry sorting line at Cherry World Group’s packinghouse in the Jerte Valley, Cáceres, Spain. The line officially went into operation in mid-May 2025, following installation work that began in early April. Designed to sort up to 1,800 cherries per minute, the system significantly enhances processing efficiency and fruit quality, setting a new standard for sorting in the region.

According to Merwyn, Reemoon’s Country Manager for Spain, the facility previously used another brand of sorting equipment, but its accuracy and efficiency could not keep pace with growing production demands. “The factory was looking for equipment that could both guarantee sorting quality and improve efficiency. ReeMoon’s solution, with its strong cost-effectiveness and advanced defect detection capabilities, ultimately won the customer’s trust,” Merwyn explained.

The new installation features an eight-lane, full-process design that encompasses all key stages of sorting: Automatic Crates Tipper, Feeding Water Tank, Chain-plate Elevator, Cluster Cutter, Small Fruit Eliminator, Fresh-keeping Treatment, Eight-lane Sizer, and Packing Table. “Because the customer’s factory space was limited, we worked closely with them to customize the line layout according to their site conditions. This ensured efficient operation without occupying excessive space. The line not only delivers high capacity but also prioritizes stability and ease of operation, simplifying maintenance and management,” Merwyn added.

On the technology side, the line is equipped with Reemoon’s latest S8 AI visual inspection system, which provides more precise defect detection and grading. Customer feedback shows that since going online, the equipment has run smoothly, with notable improvements in both sorting efficiency and fruit quality. “The upgraded vision system is at the core of this technological leap, and it has already earned strong recognition in practical use,” said Merwyn.

Looking ahead, Reemoon will exhibit at Asia Fruit Logistica from September 3–5, at booth 5-5L19, where the company plans to showcase its next-generation vision systems and automation solutions. “Asia Fruit Logistica offers us an excellent platform to present our latest technologies, engage with more customers, better understand market needs, and drive continuous innovation,” Merwyn noted.
