La Pasión Features Two Gouverneur Morris Foals in the August Sale / JUAN I. BOZZELLO
After a brief hiatus, the sales rings return to action in Argentina this Thursday with the August Copa Bullrich Sale, set to begin at 2 p.m. at the Tattersall of Haras La Pasión, located at kilometer 98.5 on National Route 8 in Solís, Buenos Aires.
Organized by Antonio Bullrich S.A., the sale will feature a strong lineup of 2023-born horses, including consignments from leading farms such as La Pasión, El Chañar, La Leyenda, Parque Patricios, Establecimiento Mariana Eva, Egalité de 9, Orilla del Monte, and La Gringa, among others.
The catalog boasts offspring by prominent sires including Equal Stripes (Candy Stripes), Daddy Long Legs (Scat Daddy), Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), Cosmic Trigger (Lizard Island), Il Campione (Scat Daddy), Forge (Dubawi), Hit It a Bomb (War Front), Lizard Island (Danehill Dancer), Señor Candy (Candy Ride), Treasure Beach (Galileo), as well as some of the first crops from Pneumatic (Uncle Mo), Sandino Ruler (Roman Ruler), Uncle Chuck (Uncle Mo), Sovereign (Galileo), Village King (Campanologist), and Cool Day (John F. Kennedy).
Several offerings stand out, including Serena Fe (Daddy Long Legs x Cedar Grove, by Speightstown) from Haras El Chañar, a sister to stakes performers Sereno (Catcher In the Rye) and La Serenita (Pure Prize), dam of La Bella Otero (Daddy Long Legs), winner of the Clásico General Lavalle (G3) this season.
Establecimiento Mariana Eva will present Firenze Beach (Treasure Beach), a son of stakes winner Gran Toscana (Grand Reward) and full brother to the talented Joy Toscana (Fortify); Parque Patricios offers Huracán de Areco (Il Campione), a classic winner in the Katrina Inc (Include).
From El Chañar comes Folk Music (Pneumatic), out of the outstanding Sound Music (Storm Surge), while Cool Francis (Cool Day) from Establecimiento Mariana Eva is a full brother to Guapo Como Yo (Catcher In the Rye), a G3 winner. Egalité de 9 presents Bayo Talent (Equal Talent), maternal brother to Moet Mix (Dynamix), a G1 winner; and Haras Olivito offers Penny Boom (Hit It a Bomb), victorious in the Nistel Seiter (Van Nistelrooy).
Highlighting Haras La Pasión’s consignments are La Maquinola (Lucky Mamma) and Rabo de Junco (Raizguana), both offspring of Gouverneur Morris.
