(Aug. 28, 2025) – The American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) proudly announces Zachary London, MD, as the 2025 Jun Kimura Outstanding Educator Award recipient for his numerous contributions to neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine.

Upon receiving the award, Dr. London said, “This award is deeply meaningful to me because it represents the values I care about most: mentorship, innovation, and the joyful complexity of neuromuscular medicine.” Dr. London serves as a collegiate professor and neurology residency director at the University of Michigan. His teaching methods include game-based learning, including over 10 published games and apps like Nerve Whiz and EMG Whiz.

Dr. London has played key roles in AANEM, including establishing the AANEM Neuromuscular Fellowship Match and chairing the ABEM Examination Committee. His work has earned recognition through major awards like the ANA Distinguished Neurology Teacher Award and the A.B. Baker Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. London will be recognized at the upcoming AANEM Annual Meeting Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 2025, in San Francisco, California.
