The European Commission has launched three calls for expression of interest inviting architects, citizens, companies, cultural actors, innovators and researchers to contribute to the third edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival, taking place in Brussels (Belgium) on 9-13 June 2026.
The biannual event celebrates the New European Bauhaus, an EU initiative aimed at turning the green transition into tangible change on the ground, improving daily lives through sustainable solutions for the built environment and lifestyles. The 2026 Festival will, among other topics, address the transformative power of democratic engagement in shaping more inclusive and sustainable communities.
The calls for expression of interest concern three components of the Festival’s programme:
- the Fair, an exhibition highlighting projects that support the values of the New European Bauhaus;
- the Fest, a celebration bringing together culture, art, and conviviality;
- as well as Satellite events aligned with the New European Bauhaus values, to be organised independently in Brussels, across Europe, and beyond.
The deadline for applications is 30 September 2025 for the Fair and Fest, and 31 December 2025 for Satellite events.
