Wet Leg have been confirmed as headliners for this year’s Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh.

On December 31st, the Scottish capital brings the calendar year to a close with a huge party at the Ross Bandstand in West Princes Street Gardens, and for the next edition, they have secured Wet Leg to bring 2025 to a triumphant close.

The Isle of Wight five-piece will be joined by Scottish acts Hamish Hawke and Lucia and the Best Boys in Edinburgh.

In a statement, the organisers behind Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations said: “We are thrilled to welcome Wet Leg to headline this year’s Concert in the Gardens, and with Hamish Hawk, and Lucia & the Best Boys joining the party, it promises to be a night of incredible music and celebration that will have everyone dancing into 2026.”

They continued: “And not forgetting one of the world’s great New Year firework displays from Edinburgh Castle. This is going to be a cracker.”

Last year, Hogmanay was set to be headlined by Scottish heroes Texas. However, due to adverse weather conditions, it was cancelled as a precautionary measure.

Other acts that have previously headlined Hogmanay in recent years include Pulp, Biffy Clyro, Paulo Nutini, Mark Ronson, Franz Ferdinand, Primal Scream, Lily Allen and Pet Shop Boys.

2025 has already been a year to remember for Wet Leg, who released their chart-topping second album Moisturizer, performed a huge set at Glastonbury and headlined Green Man.

In a review of their triumphant performance at the aforementioned Welsh festival, Far Out wrote: “Rhian Teasdale had the crowd in the palm of her hand; no one seemed to mind that a few of the guitar riffs sounded similar, though we’d found a group of lobsters who jumped effervescently no matter what track played.”

Tickets for Hogmanay will go on sale at 10am on September 2nd, 2025.
