A popular US fast food chain is coming to Leeds – but with an incredibly local twist.
Chick-fil-A is opening its first locally-owned restaurant in Leeds this Autumn – following two successful openings of licensed restaurants in partnership with Applegreen in Northern Ireland.
While there are no official dates, Autumn is right around the corner so Leeds locals can be expecting the “locally-owned” chicken shop to be serving very soon.

From freshly prepared salads and whole boneless breasts of chicken, to fruit cups with fresh produce, Leeds locals can enjoy another option for their takeout fix.
Chick-fil-A opened its first restaurant in the UK in early 2025 with the goal of launching five locations across the country within the next two years.
The chain promises to “give back in the local community in a meaningful way” by offering independent business owners the chance to sell under the franchise, instead of “passive investors”.
Led by the UK’s first owner-operator Mike Hoy, the Londoner will be responsible for managing the business, hiring, and all other aspects of operation, including “guiding the restaurant’s philanthropic efforts” to support the needs of the local community.
