Manchester United are busy attempting to finalise player sales, which suggests a late push for incomings could be ongoing.

It is not too late for Manchester United to make more signings before the transfer deadline on September 1.

Antony is set to secure a move away from Manchester United, with a deal also ready to be concluded to take Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli.

Alejandro Garnacho’s £40 million move to Chelsea is also expected to be announced imminently.

Manchester United will now push to conclude a transfer for goalkeeper Senne Lammens, according to the latest update from Fabrizio Romano.

After following Lammens all summer, United stepped up pursuit of the Royal Antwerp stopper a week ago, but have not been able to get the £17 million deal over the line.

With the deadline approaching, United are set to step up efforts to sign the new goalkeeper.

Romano reports: “Understand Manchester United are preparing one final big push to get Senne Lammens deal done!

“Talks to accelerate this weekend again with Royal Antwerp. Deal on.”

Manchester United need new goalkeeper

Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana have started for Manchester United this season, and neither goalkeeper has looked convincing.

Onana was culpable for both goals conceded against Grimsby Town in the shock cup upset in midweek, and also saved just one of the 12 penalties he faced.

Bayindir has looked shaky in his two appearances and has not kept a clean sheet for United since last September.

Signing a new goalkeeper is vital to restore the confidence of United fans, and possibly the United outfield players too.

If Lammens did sign, his debut could be away to City in September. But what remains to be seen, is whether any further players could join him.
