More than 70 Police Scotland recruits are preparing to deploy to communities across the country after marking the end of their initial training at a formal parade attended by family and loved ones.
The 73 officers took part in their passing out parade at our headquarters, Tulliallan, today, Friday, 29 August, 2025 and were congratulated by Chief Constable Jo Farrell.
There are 40 males and 33 females in this recent cohort.
Chief Constable Farrell said: “This is an important day in the careers of our officers, who now continue their development while serving communities across Scotland.”
Of the new recruits, five have previous policing experience and three have military experience.
Police Scotland is currently recruiting.
John graduated from Telford College in 2010 with an HNC in Practical Journalism and since then he worked for the North Edinburgh News, The Southern Reporter, the Irish News Review and The Edinburgh Reporter. In addition he has been published in the Edinburgh Evening News and the Hibernian FC Programme.
