• Meghan Markle revealed that her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, picked up some British pronunciation from their father, Prince Harry.
  • They also picked up a few British terms—”but never cooking terms,” she said, “because I guess Papa’s not cooking as much.”
  • Markle previously told the same story during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tend to keep their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet out of the public eye as much as possible. But every now and then, they do give their fans a sweet glimpse into their family life in Montecito. And it’s safe to say that the two kids have inherited a few things from their dad. For one thing, both kids appear to have bright red hair just like Harry. Plus, Harry reportedly wants the kids to have the option to be working royals. And now, thanks to a new season of Netflix’s With Love, Meghan, we know that the kids have inherited another thing from their royal dad—although the kids have American accents, it seems there is one specific word they always say in a British accent.

As Markle explained on the show, Lilibet and Archie usually say “zeh-brah” instead of “zee-brah.” They also use a few British terms. “My kids, they’ll say a little bit of both, but never cooking terms,” she said, “because I guess Papa’s not cooking as much.”

Markle previously shared a similar story during a March appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. “Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say z-e-b-r-a and what else do they say? They have these little moments where it comes out and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him and I think it’s adorable,” Markle said. “Zebra is a good one.”

Also in the new season, Markle gave fans a quick glimpse at a few rare family photos that she likes to bring with her on trips. “I always, always bring photos of my family,” she said, “I just went on a girls’ trip recently, and my girlfriends were like, ‘Oh my gosh! That’s so sweet. You keep it by the side of your bed.’ And it’s like, well yeah, you could look at your phone, but it’s just really…I don’t know, I’m sentimental in that way.”
