We hoped, we believed, but Spain was simply too strong and in the end, they defeated the Bosnian basketball team hard in the second match at Eurobasket. They celebrated with a score of 88:67.

After the victory over Cyprus, appetites grew, but Spain quickly “brought the Dragons down to earth”. They were simply too strong, they had an exceptional shot from distance, which was certainly lacking in the Bosnian team, not to mention the large number of technical fouls, unused penalties…

The Bosnian basketball team led 4:0, were tied for most of the first quarter, but the Spaniards managed to separate themselves by eight points at the end of the first quarter, 24:16.

In the second quarter, Spain’s advantage only grew, there was an 18-point difference, and at halftime they led 44:30 and we still believed in miracles, and then in the third period the Spanish team reached a difference of over 20 and it was simply impossible to come back.

One gets the impression that in the last 10 minutes it was only important to play and at least try to mitigate the already heavy defeat.

Of course, nothing is over, the match with Italy is coming today, we still have to play with Greece and Georgia, but based on what we saw tonight – it will be very difficult to advance.

What worked poorly tonight in the ranks of BiH national team, no one managed to improve the impression, nor to stand out in all that grayness.

Kenan Kamenjaš was our best player with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Nurkić was also in double figures with 10 points.

The Spanish team certainly had players in good spirits, from Aldama (19 points), Brizuela (15), Wily Hernanhomez (16)…

Spain had a three-point shot and they made a huge difference, and coach Adis Bećiragić has to try to improve something in the very short time left until the next, tomorrow’s game, first of all he has to find a way to mentally lift the players after the flood.

It can be said that the only thing that justified it was the fans who made us play like at home in Limassol, but that is not enough.
