Prince William is reportedly continuing to resist any opportunities for a meeting with his younger brother, Prince Harry.

The 43-year-old royal, who has allegedly not been in contact with his brother for some time, appears uninterested in reconciling with Harry, who now lives in the U.S..

Prince Harry, who stepped down from his senior Royal duties in 2020, is expected to meet with King Charles in early September.

Reports suggest that he may attend the WellChild Awards on September 8, an event coinciding with the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

A source commented on the upcoming father-son reunion, stating that the “time is right” for the King to meet with his youngest son.

However, while this meeting is scheduled, William has reportedly declined any opportunity to meet with his brother during his stay in the UK.

A source told the Mirror that any potential meeting between William and Harry is being “rejected out of hand”.

The source explained: “William feels Harry has repeatedly chosen public exposure over private resolution and that the Royal Family can’t keep being dragged into the headlines every time there’s a new contract to promote.”

They further added: “The issue with Harry, as well as Meghan, is one of trust. Ever since moving to North America, they have eroded all confidence in their ability to keep things or their criticisms private.

“For there to be any chance of moving forward, that trust has to be rebuilt, and Team Sussex knows the onus is on them.”

A source discussing the apparent visit and meeting with his father stated: “For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach.

“Prince Harry’s team and the Palace have opened a line of communication, and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September.”
