WWE star Rhea Ripley has slammed a “swarm” of fans for physically obstructing her from entering a taxi in Paris, reminding them that celebrities are in fact people too.
Footage shows her being “mobbed” by a “rapid zombie” crowd who “pushed [her] against an Uber’s door”. The incident happened ahead of WWE’s Clash in Paris premium live event, which is taking place today. She appears to been leaving the hotel where the wrestlers are staying – where dozens of fans were waiting for her, armed with phones for snapping pictures.
In the X post, she says: “Remember, we are people. Do not swarm me or anyone like a pack of rabid zombies… No one should ever be pushed up against a Uber driver’s door and completely mobbed like I just experienced. Use common courtesy and humanity. No means no. Wtf.”

WWE Clash in Paris 2025 is taking place today, on Sunday August 31, at the Paris La Défense Arena. WWE is on its European tour, with Ripley featured as a top-level women’s wrester.
WWE has not commented on what happened.
In the past, Ripley has enforced boundaries with her fans. In February, she said that fan mail to her private home address, by post and in person, was a violation of her privacy.
She wrote on X on Feb 24, 2025: “Shouldn’t have to say this… Do not ever send fan mail to my house. That is by mail, or SELF DELIVERED! That is 100% not ok.”

It came just weeks after wrestler Asuka said she had been feeling in danger, and that WWE and TKO were taking precautions to protect her.
Asuka wrote on X: “I’ve been feeling in danger recently. I’ve already consulted the police. At this rate, even if fans approach me at the airport or in the city, I will feel the possibility that something might happen, and it will scare me, making me unable to respond.”

She then wrote: “I absolutely reject any romantic or personal approaches toward me. There is absolutely no possibility for others to interfere in my private life.”

WWE star Kelvin Owens in the past has also slammed fans for “stalking” wrestlers at airports. In an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Owens voiced his frustrations.
Owens said: “There’s one that I wrote that I don’t think anybody has found yet. It says ‘Don’t follow us at the airport.’ And that’s one that people should take to heart.
