Anthony Patterson: 6/10
Had nothing to do other than picking the ball out of the back of the net, distribution was fine but barely involved.
Alan Browne: 6/10
Was OK defending from right back but actually spent most of the game on the right wing trying to get involved in attacks.
Chris Mepham: 6/10
Steady at the back without ever being stretched.
Luke O’Nien: /10
Same as Mepham, most of the game was spreading the ball wide with very little defending to do. Had one deflected effort from distance that landed at Jones’ feet but he fired over when well placed.
Joe Anderson: 6/10
Didn’t look out of place at left back but didn’t provide much support going forward. Probably could have been tighter to the man for the Blackburn goal and got turned too easily.
Salis Abdul Samed: 6/10
Thought he protected the back four well, with a few interceptions after reading play, and was quite sharp on the ball other than a couple of touches around the opposition box.
Jobe Bellingham: 7/10
Worked really hard in and out of possession and really tried to make something happen. Almost got on the end of a Rigg cross but just couldn’t get a foot on it.
Harrison Jones: 6/10
Tidy on the ball when we managed to get him it around the Blackburn box, played a nice ball over the top for Isidor to volley wide, almost got on the end of an Aleksic cross and had a reasonable chance when O’Nien’s shot fell to him but could only fire over. Worked hard out of possession.
Milan Aleksic: 6/10
Some bright spots here and there but not a consistent threat, a couple of good crosses though, one just missing Jones at the back post and Isidor fired wide just before Aleksic departed.
Tommy Watson: 6/10
An improved performance but like the rest of his teammates was just missing that sharpness around the opposition box, when he did fire a cross in there was no-one there waiting to get on the end of it.
Wilson Isidor: 5/10
Looks down on his luck at the moment. Had a few half chances, like an early chance that almost squirmed in, the volley from Jones’ ball over the top or a snapshot from Aleksic’s cross but really struggling to get involved in games.
Substitutes
Chris Rigg: 6/10
Showed a bit of fire when he came on and almost picked out Jobe with a nice cross into the six yard box.
Eliezer Mayenda: 6/10
Got past his full back a couple of times with a nice first touch but no end product today.
Enzo Le Fee: 6/10
Was involved in play a lot as we probed for chances but no cutting edge.
Patrick Roberts: 6/10
Came on for Watson but struggled to make an impact.
Man of the Match: Jobe Bellingham
Our best player today, covered a lot of ground throughout and was always trying to get us up the pitch. Used the ball well and came as close as anyone to getting on the scoresheet but couldn’t quite stick a toe on the end of Rigg’s cross.
