CARE HOME residents were joined by staff, family and the community to raise funds for charity.

Fountains Care Home in Shirley raised £217 at a Summer Fair which was held in aid of Age UK Solihull.

Working closely with residents, Activities Coordinator Louise Crooks organised an afternoon packed with activities, stalls, and entertainment.

The fair featured the home’s very own Fountains Tombola and raffles, alongside community stalls run by Age UK Solihull and St Patrick’s Church, Earlswood.

Solihull singer Jenny Andrews entertained guests as they nibbled on homemade treats, including fruit kebabs, macaroons, and pizzas.

Resident Doreen said: “What a fantastic turn out, lovely to see everyone having so much fun.”

Rebecca, an Age UK representative visited the home to collect the £217 donations which had been raised on the day.

The donation will go directly towards supporting the charity vital work with older people in the community.
