Marcelo Bielsa’s legacy will not be forgotten, though it could be impacted by the latest Leeds transfer news.

Less than three hours remain until the summer transfer window slams shut, and as things stand, Leeds are yet to get close to sealing a deadline day arrival.

Emi Buendia has been linked, though Aston Villa immediately rejected an approach for Leeds, sparking further concern.

However, Daniel Farke’s side have since tabled a permanent bid to sign a Premier League forward, who Bielsa was clearly not a fan of.

Leeds have already had a loan approach for Harry Wilson turned down by Fulham, according to reports, though they have returned with a new offer.

Peter Rutzler has now reported via X that Leeds have made a permanent bid to sign Wilson from Fulham, with the deal likely to rely on whether they can seal a replacement of their own.

Wilson will be remembered from his time at Derby, when Leeds had their rivalry with Frank Lampard, though he may also be remembered from the time he came close to a move to Elland Road.

Back in 2020, Victor Orta wanted to bring Wilson to Leeds, though Bielsa wanted Ryan Kent to make the move instead.

A deal was on the cards for the Welshman, though Bielsa failed to sanction the deal, meaning nothing ended up coming from it.

This summer may change that, and Leeds will need to move fast to get their man.

The 49ers have certainly tried to do the right things this summer, though no one will ever remember the attempts.

The only thing that matters is the signatures they can obtain, and so far on deadline day, they haven’t gained any.

Wilson is clearly becoming a priority after a second approach, with Manor Solomon also linked with a return to Leeds.

However, time is running out.
