Leeds United made a late push to sign Harry Wilson from Fulham on deadline day. But the transfer window has now closed.

The summer transfer window is officially closed for business. Leeds United managed to sign 10 new players ahead of the window slamming shut on 7pm, with the 49ers spending £100million on new players.

Daniel Farke wanted more though. After Leeds’ game against Newcastle United last weekend, Farke said he’d try to make deadline day signings, with attacking additions being his focus.

After links to the likes of Emi Buendia and Bilal El Khannouss came to a halt, Harry Wilson was linked with a last minute move to Leeds United.

As 7pm came around, many Leeds United fans would’ve been disappointed with the deadline day business. Or lack of. But that doesn’t mean Farke won’t have one more signing through the doors, with Wilson still able to arrive at Leeds United providing Leeds have ‘submitted a deal sheet before the deadline’, per the Premier League.

Interestingly, Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas posted on X soon after the window shut, with a long list of ‘remaining outstanding deals’ from deadline day, which included Wilson to Leeds United.

Thomas though doesn’t confirm whether or not there was in fact a deal sheet submitted for Wilson before the 7pm transfer deadline.

Leeds were wating on Fulham to sign some new players of their own before letting Wilson go in. Then in the final hours of the window, Fulham completed deals for Kevin and Samuel Chukwueze.

But Miguel Delaney revealed ahead of the deadline that Wilson to Leeds United now looking unlikely, suggesting that Wilson was likely to stay at Craven Cottage despite the late attempt from Leeds United.

Initially, Leeds saw a loan bid for Wilson knocked back, but reports soon after revealed how Leeds United were trying to sign Wilson permanently from Premier League rivals Fulham.

If Farke can get this one through then it will be a nice finish to what’s still been a decent summer transfer window at Leeds United.
