Manchester United are on track to complete the signing of goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
A deal sheet was submitted by United before the 7pm transfer window deadline, which means they have a two-hour extension to complete the transfer.
United sources consider Lammens, 23, to be an exciting young goalkeeper with a bright future.
United considered a move for Emiliano Martinez but are convinced Lammens is the right choice.
Lammens is set to arrive for £18.2million and he will sign a five-year contract at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim defended his goalkeeper options in his post-Burnley press conference, but United pushed to sign Lammens in the final days of the window to strengthen that department.
Altay Bayindir has made mistakes against Arsenal and Burnley in the Premier League this season. Andre Onana was recalled against Grimsby Town and made an error for both goals.
Club sources have declined to say whether Lammens will be installed as United’s No.1 ‘keeper.
