Manchester United are in the market for attacking signings this summer as Ruben Amorim seeks more goals next season.
Sunday saw Manchester United lose 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers, again drawing a blank in front of goal.
United may have scored five against Lyon on Thursday, but it’s just one goal scored in the last four Premier League games.
United’s tally of 38 goals in 33 Premier League games simply isn’t good enough and Ruben Amorim needs new recruits in the final third.
Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap is on United’s radar, with Rasmus Hojlund wanted in Italy after a difficult season in front of goal.
United also need number 10’s for Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system and one top target appears to be emerging.

Amorim set tongues wagging on Sunday having been spotted chatting to Wolves star Matheus Cunha.
Reports earlier in April suggested that United want to sign Cunha, who has a £62.5million release clause in his contract.
Those reports are now accelerating as the Daily Mail claim that United are now ‘inching closer’ to an agreement to sign Cunha.
It’s stated that United hope to have a deal in place for Cunha by next month, attempting to secure a deal quickly.
Newcastle United have been viewed as the main competition for Cunha, but it’s claimed that the Brazilian has been ‘swayed’ by the idea of shining under Amorim at Old Trafford.
Fabrizio Romano adds that United are leading the race for Cunha with personal terms already being discussed.
United believe more clubs want to sign Cunha, but Romano added ‘deal on’ in his Instagram post, suggesting that there was ‘good feelings’ about a summer deal being pulled off.
United signed Diego Leon in January with the left wing back arriving this summer, but Cunha would be United’s first first-team summer signing if a deal can be thrashed out.
Matheus Cunha to United has been a long time coming
United still have work to do here, and we aren’t taking the latest reports about Cunha as being a sign that a deal is absolutely imminent.
There seems to be confidence inside Old Trafford that a deal will be done, though, and Cunha has been on the radar for a long time.
Reports way back in August 2022 suggested that United wanted to sign Cunha from Atletico Madrid as a new addition to Erik ten Hag’s attack.
No deal was done back then, but United even wanted Cunha last summer according to some rumours.
United now seem ready to pull the trigger and bring Cunha to Old Trafford, adding some magic between the lines in Amorim’s attack.
