However, the pub celebrated its final days last weekend.

The Glasgow institution was famous for its wide selection of draught and bottled beers, premium whisky, gins and other spirits.

Announcing the news on social media, they said: “Our final post.

“We would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all our customers for your loyalty and support during our time here.

“We have never been the biggest, smartest or stylish boozer but we’ve always aimed to be the most hospitable and welcoming.

“That would be down to all the fantastic staff who have worked here during our time.

“We are beyond sad that we will not be seeing you anymore but we have some fantastic memories of you all.

“It was also great to see so many of you on our last weekend.

“Take care, goodbye and good luck to you all, and the new owners.”

Upset punters took to the pub’s Facebook comments to react to the news.
