We are extremely proud to unveil the results from another stellar year partnered with North East Screen, Screen Manchester and Screen Yorkshire under ‘Screen Alliance North’. Since April 2023, we’ve been working with the other northern screen agencies to tackle skills shortages and improve access to quality training provision for diverse talent and communities in our region.
Through the combined efforts of ourselves, North East Screen, Screen Manchester and Screen Yorkshire, Screen Alliance North has made real progress towards building a stronger, more inclusive and better-connected screen workforce across the North of England.
Over the past year, Screen Alliance North has delivered nearly 400 activities across the region, engaging more than 15,000 people through our activities and events. We’ve built strong new connections, working with stakeholders and collaborating with employers to create 100’s of meaningful opportunities. This scale of engagement reflects both the breadth of our offer and the growing momentum behind our work to build a stronger, more inclusive screen sector in the North.
Since launching in April 2023, the SAN partners have been working together to make sure industry investment in skills and talent reaches a broader and more diverse range of people, places and productions. The results speak to the power of collaboration, and while there’s still work to do, the progress so far is clear.
