Renee Zellweger and Ant Anstead caused a bit of commotion amongst a few fans after the TV host made a telling remark about his girlfriend.
In his latest post, the former Wheeler Dealers host, 46, referred to his partner as ‘the missus.’
‘Taking the missus for a tour of the west country… Somerset, Devon and Cornwall,’ he captioned a post of their recent travels through the U.K. ‘we popped into Boscastle Pottery where I filmed a craft show some years ago…..! Of course we had to pick up some mugs to take home! This part of the UK is simply MAGICAL.’
The title – which is used to address a married woman though can be used to refer to someone’s girlfriend – jumped out to several curious fans.
Zellweger was not named in the caption or pictured in the post, however Anstead has previously referred to her as ‘the missus’.
‘The Missus!!!???!!!’ one commented while another remarked, ‘Beautiful area! The “Missus”?’
‘The Missus? Who Did He Marry?’ another asked.

Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both Anstead and Zellweger for clarification about the ‘missus’ comment but have not yet heard back.
It’s certainly not the first time Anstead has referred to his girlfriend as ‘the missus’, with the star previously gushing about his partner on social media as such.
While sharing the trailer for her film, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, he gushed: ‘The missus was busy being brilliant this summer….. she’s a bloomin Bridget genius! Oh And Leo… we need to quiet chat down a dark alleyway… x’.
The couple, who began dating in 2021, have not been seen together in public since early March when they were snapped supporting Anstead’s young son at a soccer game.
Earlier this year sources told Daily Mail Zellweger and Anstead have been living apart, but a rep for the TV host added the couple ‘are still together.’
The couple are otherwise very private about their relationship, but Renee provided rare insight into their romance in an interview with British Vogue back in January.
‘I live in Southern California, near San Diego, because that’s where my fellow lives, and his little boy,’ she opened up, referencing her boyfriend’s five-year-old son Hudson.
Anstead shares the little boy with ex-wife Christina Haack. He also shares daughter Amelie, 21, and son Archie, 18, with his ex-wife Louise Anstead.

In February, friends of the actress told Daily Mail that she has put the brakes on her relationship with Anstead, revealing she is not interested in marriage.
‘Renée and Ant have been dating for over three years,’ one insider said. ‘She loves the relationship the way it is.
‘She’s seen so many couples, especially celebrities like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who have happily dated, only to split not long after getting married.
‘Why would she risk rocking the boat and rushing to take her relationship with Ant to the next level?’
