Calling all board game lovers, card fanatics, and general fans of gaming experiences, a brand-new board game destination has recently opened in Stratford that you won’t want to miss. The much-loved DRAUGHTS group has opened up a sprawling new site in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to celebrate their 10th anniversary. But this new spot is much more than the brand’s usual board game cafés; it’s London’s very first board game restaurant and bar.
The venue comprises part of what is set to become a new London hot-spot, as a “cultural and educational hub”. Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is set to host the likes of the BBC, London College of Fashion, and Sadler’s Wells. That’s in addition to the recently opened V&A East, and more.

The new board game space is impressively vast. DRAUGHTS’ newest location spans over 4,000 square feet. Inside, the space encompasses 3,540 square feet, with a 570-square-foot outside area. After all, what’s better than gaming and dining al fresco – all at the same time?
DRAUGHTS Stratford boasts impressive views of the London Stadium and the Waterworks River – but you might well be too focused on gaming to notice. That’s because the new DRAUGHTS venue houses a whopping collection of almost 1,000 board games to play. And there’s ample room indoors for over 150 guests across two floors.

While you’re there, be sure to take advantage of the impressive food and drink offerings. You can graze on snacking plates or indulge in sharing platters of world food – with dishes drawing from Korean, Mexican, and Japanese cuisine. They’ve got everything from Gochujang fried chicken burgers to pulled pork tacos, and plenty of veggie and vegan options.
Plus, there are drinks for any taste – ranging from craft beers to orange wine, low and no-alcohol options, hot drinks, and sodas on tap. Whether you’re whetting your whistle or keeping a sharp mind for the game, they’ve got you covered.

The DRAUGHTS team is clearly not planning on stopping with their expansion any time soon. Said Nick Curci, DRAUGHTS founder: “Looking ahead, we are excited to explore new avenues for expansion and innovation, ensuring that DRAUGHTS remains a leading player in the board game and hospitality industry.”
