Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have now been married for seven years, but not everyone is convinced their relationship is as strong as it seems. Lady Victoria Hervey, a model and socialite once linked to the royal family, has openly questioned the stability of their marriage.
Hervey, who briefly dated Prince Andrew back in 1999, didn’t hold back in a recent interview with Closer magazine. At 49, she admitted she was surprised the couple’s marriage had lasted this long and suggested the main reason they have stayed together might be their children.
“I’m amazed their marriage has lasted as long as this. I’m sure it’s only because of the kids, because it seems to have been quite rocky for a while,” she said.

She went on to point out how much Harry has changed his life since meeting Meghan. “She got him to move his whole life, and now she’s back where she grew up,” Hervey added, hinting at Meghan’s decision to settle in the US.
Her comments contrast sharply with the image Meghan herself has been sharing. In her latest With Love, Meghan episode on Netflix, the Duchess spoke warmly about her relationship and reflected on the early days of her romance with Harry.
“We met in Botswana and we camped for five days together,” she told fashion expert Tan France. Meghan laughed as she remembered how the experience pushed them to bond quickly. “You really get to know each other when you’re in a little tent together, and it’s like what is that outside the tent? That’s an elephant. Are we going to be safe? Yeah, you’re safe. OK.”
It’s moments like these that Meghan says defined the foundations of their relationship and still give her a sense of joy when she looks back on how it all began.
