A dessert restaurant chain, which closed a branch in Bristol less than a year ago, is making a return to the city in a new location. Kaspa’s Desserts, which was on Park Street, is launching on Straits Parade in Fishponds.

Signage has appeared on a shop front – the former home of a charity shop – in the Kaspa’s black and pink branding. The sign says it will be ‘opening soon’ and is now recruiting for staff.

Through the window, more decor can be seen, including neon lighting and wall art which reads ‘good vibes only #Kaspa’s 100. According to the official Kaspa’s website, there is no confirmed opening date as of yet, with the new location listed as ‘coming soon’ and stating it will be open for dine-in, takeaway and delivery.

Kaspa’s, which was founded in 2012 and had some 100 parlours internationally in 2022, previously had a location on Park Street, which opened in 2015. The dessert restaurant chain has branches around the south west, including Longwell Green, Weston-super-Mare, Yeovil, Taunton, Swindon, Plymouth, Gloucester, Exeter, Cheltenham, and Cardiff, as well as elsewhere across the country.

Kaspa’s is known for its menu of dessert-only dishes, including gelatos and sundaes, giant American waffles, French crepes, cookie dough, sharing platters, cakes, puddings, shakes, smoothies, and more. But it also serves up bubble tea, hot drinks, soft drinks, and coolers and mocktails, too.

The Fishponds area is home to an array of foodie spots, with the likes of The Crafty Egg, Fed, and Grounded cafes nearby.
