At the end of another roller coaster year, Kate Middleton will have the comfort of a holiday tradition.

The Royal Foundation has confirmed that Kate’s “Together at Christmas” annual concert will once again be held this year. Traditionally, the event takes place at Westminster Abbey in early December and is later televised and available to stream closer to the holidays.

“To close 2025, the ‘Together at Christmas’ will once again aim to bring together communities across the UK to celebrate people who have gone out of their way to help others with even more impactful local services,” the foundation said.

“Together at Christmas” is an annual carol concert that also includes holiday-themed readings and musical performances from celebrities and members of the royal family.

Last year’s concert featured readings from Prince William, actress Sophie Okonedo and actor Richard E. Grant, as well as performances by singers Olivia Dean, Gregory Porter and Paloma Faith, pianist Rosie Chan, members of the Royal Ballet, young musicians and more.

In a poignant addition, Olympic cyclist Chris Hoy — who had recently revealed his terminal cancer diagnosis — and Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery, whose fiancé died from a rare form of cancer in 2022, also participated in the service.

In addition to members of the royal family, the audience at the event — which Kate, 43, began hosting in 2021 — is comprised of local volunteers and charity workers. Last year, over 1,600 attendees enjoyed the show before receiving an Order of Service with a special letter from the Princess of Wales, thanking them for all their good works.

Last year’s concert was an especially meaningful one for Kate, as it took place shortly after she completed her chemotherapy treatments for cancer. She and William were joined at the event by their children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — as well as Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton; her sister, Pippa Middleton; her brother, James Middleton, and his wife, Alizée Thevenet.

“They looked so happy together,” one attendee told PEOPLE of the family. “It’s been a hard year, but [Kate] put that brave face on and she looked absolutely gorgeous.”

It was easy to read the emotion in the heartfelt letter that the princess presented to attendees, celebrating her love for the holiday season.

“[It] gives us the opportunity to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all. It is when we stop and take ourselves away from the pressures of daily life that we find the space to live our lives with an open heart, with love, kindness and forgiveness — so much of what the Christmas spirit is all about,” she wrote.

“Above all else, it encourages us to turn to love, not fear. The love that we show ourselves and the love we show others. Love that listens with empathy, love that is kind and understanding, love that is forgiving and love that brings joy and hope,” Kate concluded.
