Park began by saying that her fellow former Couleés are “still my sisters” and that “the bond we share is too tight to break.”
“This is not gossip for you to approach me with in hopes for some quick tea,” Park continued. “I will tell my story when I’m ready and it’s not just words on a screen.” In an apparent reference to her former drag mother, Park added, “Don’t believe everything you see on tv. Remember I’ve been behind that curtain for years.”
In a late-night Wednesday Instagram story, Park elaborated on the situation, saying, “You sat in my biological mother’s face and lied to her before she passed away making a promise you did not keep. You taught me 0 as a drag ‘parent.’”
She continued, “You constantly put others above us because they kissed your ass more/ fed your ego or had some kind of fame.”
Bambi Banks stayed tight-lipped about the situation, writing in an Instagram story preserved on Reddit: “To the weirdos only here for tea. Unless we are friends you won’t be getting any from me.”
Park joined Maison Couleé in June 2020, per an announcement on the queen’s Instagram, while both Kenzie and Bambi have posts prior to that date alluding to them being a part of Maison Couleé. One image on Shea’s Instagram alludes to Kenzie being part of her drag family as early as 2017.
Though Couleé has not posted directly about her Maison, she has posted three Instagram stories in the last 24 hours, including a poem entitled “I HOPE SEPTEMBER BRINGS YOU PEACE THAT MAKES NO SENSE,” a Toni Morrison quote — “If you wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weighs you down” — and a second quote about “being more selective” as to who gets access to your heart.
Earlier this year, Couleé became a series regular on the Disney+ show Ironheart, where she played the hacker Slug. Though this was her official entry into the MCU, Couleé had been one of the inspirations for the character Darkveil, a mutant featured in the Iceman comics.
