A man and a child were injured after being hit by a car in West Bromwich.

The pair were knocked down on Lloyd Street near to the Crown and Cushion pub on Sunday, April 20, police have said.

Ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene just before 3pm and medics treated the man and child at the roadside.

Police officers attended to assist ambulance colleagues and carry out enquiries at the scene.

They are now appealing for anyone with information about what happened to get in touch as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police told BlackCountryLive: “We were called to Lloyd Street, West Bromwich shortly after 3pm yesterday after two pedestrians were hit by a car.

“Officers attended to support Ambulance colleagues and carry out enquiries at the scene.”

They added that the man and child both suffered injuries not believed to be critical.

The spokesperson continued: “A man and a child were treated at the scene for their injuries, which were not thought to be life-threatening.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with more information can get in touch via 101 or Live Chat quoting log 2216 of 20 April.”
