Michael Jackson‘s mother Katherine Jackson looked frail when she was seen during a rare outing in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The 95-year-old matriarch — whose iconic son Michael died in 2009 at age 50 — was spotted being carted around the city’s Thousand Oaks neighborhood by an aide.
She was dressed in a patterned green dress, forest green cardigan, and black shoes while holding a black Chanel purse in her lap.
Mrs. Jackson, who became a widow when her husband Joe died in 2018, wore hoop earrings and a long necklace.
The sighting comes shortly after her granddaughter Paris Jackson, 27, distanced herself from dad Michael’s upcoming biopic.

Due in theaters April 24, 2026, the biopic is produced by John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate.
Paris (full name Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson) took to Instagram on Tuesday to quash actor Colman Domingo’s claim that she is ‘very much in support of our film.’
The actor, 55, plays her great grandfather Joe Jackson in the highly-anticipated movie.
He told People this week that he’d ‘chatted briefly’ with Paris and her brother Prince, 28, at Sunday’s amfAR Venezia Gala.
‘They’re very much in support of our film,’ Domingo gushed. ‘I’m excited to be here at amfAR tonight with Paris. It feels like that’s a nice way for us to be together.’
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Paris contradicted his statement and shared her side of things.
‘[Colman Domingo], don’t be telling people I was “helpful” on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol that is so weird,’ Paris wrote to her 5.4 million followers.
She added in a follow-up post, ‘I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest / didn’t sit right with me, and when they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life.

‘Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.’
Paris later explained her brief association with the biopic in more detail.
‘I wasn’t involved at all, aside from giving feedback on the first draft and then getting the feedback that [the production] was not actually going to address [my] notes at all,’ the star clarified.
‘So I just butted out and left it alone because it’s not my project,’ she wrote. ‘They’re going to make whatever they’re going to make. A big reason why I haven’t said anything up until this point is because I know a lot of you guys are gonna be happy with it. A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in the fantasy, and they’re gonna be happy with it.’
Paris continued, ‘The thing about these biopics is — it’s Hollywood. So it’s fantasy land.
‘It’s not real but it’s sold to you as real and a lot of sugar coated … the narrative is being controlled and there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies.’
She shared defiantly, ‘At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. I don’t really like dishonesty. I spoke up. I wasn’t heard. I f***ed off. That’s it. Y’all are gonna like the f***ing movie. So just go watch it. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it.’

In March it was announced by Incubus that Paris and Manchester Orchestra would be hitting the road with them for their Morning View + The Hits tour throughout the US and UK.
In June Paris hit back at critics who were angry she was scheduled to perform on her late father’s death anniversary.
Paris said in an Instagram Story at the time: ‘So people are mad again. I guess one of the dates I’m supposed to be going out on tour (with Incubus and Manchester Orchestra) happens to be June 25, which is a very negative anniversary for me in my life and my family.’
She continued in the video post, ‘So, what I guess I have to explain to these people is that when you’re not headlining these shows, you don’t pick what date you perform.’
The blond music artist also underscored that she was not getting lavish accommodations as an opening act.
‘It’s just me and my acoustic guitar and my sound guy, who happens to be my fiancé,’ she said in reference to her then-fiancé, Justin Long. ‘So we’re gonna be in a soccer mom van.’
Paris later confirmed that she and Justin had ended their engagement and split.
