Aaron Dingle races to escape John Sugden in a first-look teaser for Emmerdale‘s big week.
Next week ahead of a deadly clifftop stunt, Aaron begs John to take him to a hospital as he doesn’t feel right. Trying to keep John onside, he denies trying to escape him while viewers know exactly what’s caused his attempt to break free.
Aaron has figured out that John is drugging him, and that John has very likely done something to his best friend Mackenzie Boyd.. What fans know is that John is targeting Aaron after finding out about his fling with his ex Robert Sugden, John’s brother.
Drugging him, his plan was to make him dependant on him and trap him at the cottage only for Aaron to end up overdosing. Aaron had a seizure and has been in a bad way since, but an alarming moment on Friday saw him not only realise about the drink spiking and the fact John was lying, but also that something had happened to Mack.

Mack’s fate is not known after John appeared to kill him again on Thursday. Just as Mack had finally escaped the underground bunker he’d been held captive in for two weeks, John caught up with him wielding an axe.
On Friday we saw the moment Aaron remembered hearing Mack screaming in the woods, which John denied. But Aaron’s fears were confirmed when he found Mack’s phone in John’s pocket.
With spoilers confirming Aaron will start a frantic search for his missing friend next week, it’s said he will confront John demanding answers on the fate of Mack. Prior to this, Aaron makes a desperate big to escape the cottage and John.
Struggling to walk and feeling unwell, he staggers out of the front door and makes it to the car. Getting inside, he tries his best to escape, no doubt wanting to save himself but also raise the alarm about Mack.

But within seconds of him making it into the car, villain John emerges out of nowhere. Pulling the door open and staring menacingly at Aaron, he tells him he needs to get back inside, accusing him of trying to do a runner.
Aaron downplays this with a cover story, begging John to take him to the hospital as he isn’t feeling well. John refuses though, telling him he needs to rest after his seizure as he hasn’t fully recovered.
Realising he has no way of getting out, Aaron reluctantly goes along with John’s claims and agrees to return to the house. It’s clear her’s terrified of what John’s planning, and it leads to him making another escape bid just after the arrival of Robert – not shown in the preview.
