Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt had some thrilling news to share with his viewers.

The popular BBC programme returned to our screens on Saturday morning (September 6), with Matt once again leading the show. Joining him were chefs Mike Reid and Samin Nosrat, along with comedian Alan Davis.

Drinks expert Helen McGinn was also present, tasked with finding the perfect wines to accompany the studio dishes. However, it wasn’t long into the show before Matt revealed some exciting career developments.

Helen asked: “Is there anything you’d like to share with the group?” To which Matt responded: “Yes I can confirm, this is quite embarrassing, not embarrassing, it’s exciting.”, reports the Express.

Comedian Alan couldn’t resist a joke, saying: “You’ll be cancelled by half past,” which was met with laughter from his co-stars.

Matt explained more: “Yeah I’m doing it with Monica and Marcus. It’s going to be great fun! I’m very excited and I promise I won’t mess it up for anyone who is wondering.”

On the upcoming 18th series of MasterChef: The Professionals, Matt will appear alongside Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti. The three judges will also be joined by a variety of exciting guest judges in the first stage of the competition.
