Police are searching for gunmen after shots were fired at a group in a Wolverhampton street.

The men were standing in Kipling Road when they were approached by two males, around 8.30pm on Friday (September 5).

A gun was discharged but thankfully no one was injured.

An investigation has been launched to identify who was involved and police are asking for anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage to contact them.

Detective Inspector, Matt Marston, from Major Crime, said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and ask anyone who may have any information about the incident to get in touch.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area, and may have dashcam or doorbell footage.

“We are reviewing CCTV footage and forensically examining the scene as part of our enquiries to understand what happened and who were involved.”

“Alternatively, information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
