Home Bargains has revealed that all of its UK stores will be closed for three days. The popular bargain retailer announced on Friday September 5 that the decision had been made as its annual conference to give hard working staff a break.
Home Bargains stores will be shut on Christmas Day on Thursday December 25, Boxing Day on Friday December 26 and New Year’s Day on Thursday January 1 so that employees can enjoy the festive season with their loved ones. Stores will also close earlier than usual on Christmas Eve with doors to close at 5pm to give workers additional time to spend with their family and friends in the evening.
A spokesperson for Home Bargains stated: “Our colleagues work incredibly hard throughout the year, and we want to recognise that commitment. As a family-run business, we understand the importance of spending time with family and friends, particularly over the holidays. We’re proud to give our teams additional time off to enjoy the festive season.”

Home Bargains has over 600 stores across the country and more than 28,500 employees, making it the UK’s biggest independent grocer.
Tom Morris opened the first Home Bargains store in Liverpool in 1976 (then called Home and Bargain) with the company now being a national retailer. The bargain retailer is popular for their low cost homeware, food, beauty and toys.
The latest item that Home Bargains shoppers are raving over is their 59p sweet treat from their in store bakery section.

Their brand new new Biscoff Croissant has taken the internet by storm with shoppers being warned that they will need to act fast if they want to snatch up the delicious snack.
Priced at just 59p, the croissants are “freshly prepared in store” with buttery, flaky pastry and a filling made from everyone’s favourite caramelised biscuit spread.
However, they are not available in every store with the bakery aisle only in nine stores across Scotland including Livingston, Blairgowrie, Dundee and Glasgow.
Meanwhile, the latest popular homeware product is a new £6 candle that customers say “looks stunning” when it’s lit.
The product is the Wickford and Co. Confetti Glass Candle, which is priced at £5.99.
The candle features a vanilla scent and has a burn time of approximately 40 hours.
Since the product is not available on the Home Bargains website yet, shoppers will need to check their locals stores in order to snap it up.
