Derek Cornelius, Bojan Miovski and Yousef Chermiti were added late in the window and they join new recruits Joe Rothwell, Oliver Antman, Djeidi Gassama, Thelo Aasgaard, Lyall Cameron, Emmanuel Fernandez, Jayden Meghoma, Mikey Moore, Max Aarons and Nasser Djiga.

The change is likely to continue in the next couple of windows though as Martin, if he survives the pressure he is currently under, looks to keep putting his own imprint on the team. A new man is likely to do the same if he doesn’t.

A number of this summer’s arrivals are on loan, most without an option to buy, and some others are out of contract next summer too. Here is a look at the 12 players who come to the end of deals next year, be it loans or permanent contracts.

Mikey Moore – Handed his first league start since his loan from Tottenham against Celtic. Deal ends next summer and there is no option to buy.

Nasser Djiga – Another on loan, this time from Wolves, and again there is no option to make it permanent included.

Max Aarons – Same story here, with Aarons on loan from Bournemouth but Rangers not having an option on him.

Derek Cornelius – The Canada defender is on a season long loan from Marseille and this time Rangers could make it permanent after including an option to buy.

John Souttar – A key man in the Light Blues defence, talks were held last year over potentially extending his stay but seemed to stall.

James Tavernier – The captain could end his decade-long association with the club. He will be 34 when his deal is up.

Rabbi Matondo – Recently teased a return to action after injury but remains to be seen if he can break into the team.

Kieran Dowell – Omitted from this season’s Europa League squad so has work to do to secure a future at Ibrox.

Liam Kelly – Second choice keeper sees his deal expire next year. Russell Martin had looked to add to the goalkeeping ranks in the summer but was unable to do so.

Bailey Rice – Rangers had wanted to extend his stay this summer ahead of a possible loan move. The latter didn’t materialise.

Jayden Meghoma – Another loan without an option to buy, this time from Brentford.

Kieran Wright – Another goalkeeper who is coming to the end of his deal after a series of loans out.
