Selections based on a soft track.

Race 1

2. Dundee Tales has hit form of late, having finished second in his past two starts, at Taree and this track, finishing off strongly from back in the field in the latest effort. He’s a well-bred galloper by Dundeel out of Wine Tales and looks set to run well here again. 1. Andros comes into this having contested the same race Dundee Tales contested last time out, in which he finished fifth. He ran second in two starts at Murwillumbah and Casino before that and is worth plenty of thought. 6. Star Of Kongo raced on the speed and fought on well when a last-start placegetter at Scone and warrants respect, while 8. Airwalker has been midfield in a couple of recent efforts and can get into the minor money.
How to play it: Dundee Tales to win.

Race 2

1. Bruckheimer is a well-bred former Victorian galloper that resumes here having been placed in four of his eight starts. He’s had two trials since joining the new stable and looks poised to run well here fresh. 2. Rich Star made his debut with a second at this track and only needs to run up to that performance to be hard to hold out. 9. Celebrity Torque is a filly having her first start in a race after a number of trials. She’s drawn the rails alley and is poised to run well. 3. Sugar Road ran third in the same race Rich Star was second in last time out and is worth including among the chances.
How to play it: Bruckheimer to win.

Race 3

5. So Koby won a trial at Rockhampton in December. She changed stables after that and returned to racing with a dominant victory at this track when leading throughout as favourite to score by a big margin. She’s drawn the rails here and can go on with the job. 7. Deep Stealth won at Ballina on debut and then ran third at this track before a fourth at Ballina. She’s had two trials leading into this. 8. Westerly was a winner at Coffs Harbour two starts ago and can improve on a last-start last at this track. 4. Parana River won well at Scone when last produced and can show up again.
How to play it: So Koby to win.

Race 4

5. Quick Buck raced midfield at this track last time out and worked home well to score a strong win. He can go on with the job here. 11. Shine Like It Does was close up when a last-start third here and should show up again. 10. Bonfidelity followed a third at Tamworth with a fourth here when last produced, while 6. Rock The Machine has finished second in his past two starts.
How to play it: Quick Buck each way.

Race 5

1. Doingiteasy wasn’t beaten far when midfield on debut at Ballina in February and resumed with a third at Casino. He’s drawn well here. 11. Warrior Bae ran second at this track on debut and was midfield there before being spelled. He resumed with a fourth at Beaudesert. 4. National Interest has been placed in seven of 19 starts and warrants thought again. 2. Betta Than Presley has been placed in his past two starts at Gatton and Beaudesert and can get into the minor money again.
How to play it: Doingiteasy each way.

Race 6

12. Glam made her debut in April with a midfield finish at Doomben. She was spelled after that and finished fourth in a trial at Deagon before resuming with a maiden win at Casino on August 18. She did the job well there and can go on with it from the inside draw. 11. Private Showtime has been racing well with a strong Gold Coast victory before a last-start second at Ipswich. She looks set to run well again. 1. Dune And Dusted has won five of 26 starts and comes into this of a last-start second at Beaudesert. 6. Got The Smarts ran third at this track three starts ago and followed a fourth at Taree with a last-start third at this track. She can make an impact.
How to play it: Glam to win.

Race 7

2. Bandasha has a solid record with three wins and four minor placings from 16 starts and resumes from a spell here having had two trials at Deagon since finishing last in a seven-horse field at Eagle Farm before the break. This looks a nice race for him to resume in. 7. Midnight Drifter scored a solid Sunshine Coast victory two starts ago and then took on tougher opposition at Eagle Farm last time out when failing to beat a runner home. This is a better assignment. 9. Our Silver Linings ran well when finishing second at Kempsey before failing to fire at the Sunshine Coast when pulling up with a problem. She is worth another chance here. 5. Sir Boo was a last start fourth at this track and is not out of contention.
How to play it: Bandasha to win.
