Fresh off of three stage wins at the Tour of Britain, Olav Kooij is set to change teams for next year.

When Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale announced earlier this year that its first title sponsor was taking over ownership of the squad and infusing a huge amount of cash into the budget, manager Dominique Serieys said in no uncertain terms that the goal was to become a “super team.”
Two months on from that announcement, the (literally) nouveau riche team is making its first waves in the transfer market. Last week, the French squad signed former Strade Bianche winner and jack-of-all-trades Tiesj Benoot, who has spent the past four seasons with Visma-Lease a Bike. On Monday, Decathlon unveiled a bigger haul of new acquisitions, announcing that Olav Kooij – also currently with Visma – would be coming aboard alongside four more sprint-focused signings.
