The funeral of murder victim, Christopher “Chrissy” Burns will take place in his native Co Down on Wednesday.
The 40-year-old was found dead at a property in the Cusher Green area of Mountnorris last Thursday after sustaining serious head and face injuries.
A Requiem Mass will be held at St Peter’s Church in Warrenpoint at 10.30am tomorrow.
“[The] beloved son of the late Margaret and Francie Burns and much-loved brother of Shane, Martin, Stephen, Brian, Damian (RIP) and Grainne,” the funeral notice states.
“Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for him. Chrissy will be reposing at his father’s home.”
The cortege will leave the home at 9.45am and make its way to the church before burial in St Malachy’s Cemetery, Carrickcruppen, Camlough, following the service.
“Chrissy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brothers, sister, son, sisters-in-law, the entire family circle and friends,” the notice continues.

“Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.”
It comes after a 39-year-old man appeared before Newry Magistrates Court.
Aaron McAnulty, also from Cusher Green, was remanded into custody on Monday after being charged murder.

No application for bail was made and the accused spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and that he understood the charge against him.
Mr Burns’ killing marks the tenth murder in Northern Ireland in just ten weeks.
